The difference

Why Melognite isn't an AI tool

Melognite doesn't guess. It doesn't scrape the internet, it doesn't hallucinate, and it isn't a generative model trained to imitate. It's a deterministic engine: the same input always produces the same result, and every note it suggests traces back to an explicit musical decision.

Under the hood it works the way music itself does — through the interplay of harmony, rhythm and melodic shape — and it's informed by music-psychology research into how listeners build and resolve expectations: tension and release, phrase structure, the pull of a cadence. It's built on how music is understood, not on a statistical average of everything online.

The result was never meant to be a finished song. It's a musically-literate starting point — a spark you own, open in your DAW, and turn into something that's unmistakably yours.

Questions

Good to know

Is this generative AI?

No. Melognite is a deterministic, rule- and theory-based engine. It doesn't train on or imitate existing music — the same input always yields the same, explainable result.

Do I own what I make?

Yes. You own what you make with Melognite and may use it commercially. Melognite provides musical starting points, not a guarantee of originality — clearing rights before release is your responsibility.

Which DAWs does it work with?

Any DAW that imports MIDI — Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One and more.

How is it priced?

Melognite runs on tiered yearly plans. Details go live with the app — get notified.
